Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Natel — 14 Jan 2009
I think all the folks negatively reviewing this film are calling it too "depressing" but as far as I'm concerned, that is what the film was trying to achieve. There is no shining light in this film.
Its about two people who will never care to understand each other nor will they ever find happiness in the next thrill they search for. The direction is magnificent, the performances are amazing, paticularly Winslet's who completely absorbs you in her character's ordeals.
She is heartbreaking and believable and deserves all the praise she has received and will continue to receive as awards season continues.
