Review of Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978) by Doctor S — 26 Jan 2009
Very disappointing. Edwards rehashes many of the old jokes and he and Sellers feel like they are stretching to make the laughs happen. While the story isn't hopeless, it is carried off rather poorly.
Sellers brings nothing new or innovative to the role, Kwouk overacts more than usual, and Herbert Lom is the only actor to truly carry his weght. Sad, disappointing and I hope to never see it again.
