Review of Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978) by Karsh D — 23 Nov 2009
There is a fine line between Farce that is funny and farce where it becomes banal and childish - it's the latter here i'm afraid. You can tell they begin to run out of ideas when Cato is given a bigger role than normal - bad mistake but that's no criticism of Burt Kwouk here it's just the material was so sub standard so they thought "lets put Cato in and stretch the yellow man jokes to breaking point" - Sellers last film as Clouseau and easily the weakest i'm afraid to say.
