Review of Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978) by Eric J — 30 Jul 2012
Despite a weak storyline there's still some laughs due to Sellers. The best laughs come when Clouseau keeps bumping into Dreyfus. Dreyfus thinks he's going mad and just seeing things. Even a not so great Peter Sellers Pink Panther film is better than a Steve Martin Pink Panther movie.
Burt Kwok gets a bit more screen time in this movie and as he is one of the best things in this series of movies I enjoyed it quite a bit. Although most debate The series probably should've ended on the high note that was "Strikes Again" instead of continuing on. This would be the last Pink Panther film to really feature Sellers, as he would die before production (outtakes and alternate cuts of Sellers were used in the next film) with well over 50 hours of funny flubs, and more were captured.
