Review of Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987) by Scott S — 11 Aug 2009
Revenge of the Nerds 2: Nerds in Paradise, a sequel that has a plot that is too predictable, typical, and ridiculous. Are stereotype to the max nerds are back, and this time they are on convention in Florida, and basically a vacation no less.
Oh, but wait, the Alpha Beta Jocks representatives have a problem with them, and will do anything to get rid of them, out of there fraternity conference. Because after all, nerds threat jocks way of life apparently.
The film basically is another competition where nerds are trying to win jocks over (by being force to) to remain as there position. The Alphas will kick nerds out of there hotel, try to pass new unfair rules, try to frame them for doing something they didn't do, and oh yeah, strand them onto an island.
As this film continues to be as predictable as it can get, they by chance stumble upon a secret hideout that contains a tank. Then they come back to the mainland and march back there. The jokes of this film are not all that funny.
The plot is fairly unoriginal and uncreative. Basically, it does not succeed. Revenge of the Nerds 2 is a unnecessary sequel that is not needed to be seen.
