Review of Revenge (2017) by Bruce B — 14 May 2018

Wildly overrated genre movie made by people who don't seem to really understand the genre they're working in. While interesting for a while, it devolves from intense to ridiculous very quickly. Ridiculous can be great but it needs to be fun and there's nothing quite engaging with the action or set pieces that are actually fun.

And like a lot of lower quality genre films, this one hammers home a social theme that wins over critics who would never praise a movie of this type unless they liked the metaphor etc.
