Review of Return to Sleepaway Camp (2008) by Steve S — 07 Feb 2009

This is one of those times where the phrase "so bad, it almost makes it good" can't be emphasized enough. This was basically like if Lloyd Kaufmann tried to make a slasher movie with all the horrible aspects of your average Troma movie, but also with the expected dose of hilarious shit throughout.

Some of the kills were amazing and others were so stupid that I couldn't believe I was seeing it on the screen: in a bad way. The visual side of things was extremely disappointing and the whole thing was very badly put together, and even if most of that WAS on purpose, it only had its certain moments that showed through the atrocity.

Kinda entertaining to watch with friends and if you know a bit about the series, but definitely not for everyone.
