Rewatching this childhood fav, i'm shocked that this movie DIDNT scare me. really! I don't know how, but it never freaked me out, even with the head collection, the wheelers, and the shock treatment.
that said, i'm amazed by what a beautifully made movie it is: sets, music, animatronics, claymation--all first rate. i'm upset that all my friends give me weird looks when I talk about this movie.
they have no clue it exists! so check it out and enjoy. just don't expect any cheery songs ala judy garland.
