They certinerly dont make kids films like this anymore, frightening, dark but amaing to look at, some great work from The Henson Creature shop, but this is far from the classic heights of Labyrinth or Dark Crystal, and too frightening for younger children (Mombi the headless princess is deffently one of those reasons) but it is still an enjoyable fantasy tale which is often over looked.
give it a go.
