Review of Return to Oz (1985) by Jason B — 30 Oct 2009
This return trip to the Emerald City of Oz is a much darker, the deadly desert turns all who tread on it to sand, the denizens of Oz turned to stone, a witch who changes her head like we change are underoos, and those creepy Wheelers.
This certainly isn't the musical trip from the 40's but is probably a more accurate account of the novel. It may be dark but it is no less magical than a Harry Potter flick, with more likable oddities to help Dorothy save Oz.
