Review of Return to Oz (1985) by Antoni G — 01 Jan 2013
Even though this film is darker than its 1939 predecessor, it is for the most part faithful to the original source material it is based on. It is exciting and the actors' performances are spot-on. Every special effect is believable, especially the stop-motion for the Nome King and his goon.
And by god, Princess Mombi and her Wheelers will give you nightmares. Highly recommended for those who like a little bit of darkness to their fantasy films.
