Review of Return to Oz (1985) by Nicholas N — 15 Mar 2017
Cinematic genius. The imagery of this film is so enchanting and has such a vivid creative direction into the mystical mysterious world of Oz while displaying the sometimes frightening aspects we learned from the original.
I like that it isn't a musical, I like that it continues the story without mimicking overpowering or taking away from the original film so many love with deep devotion. The score of this movie, however, happens to be absolutely gorgeous and captivating fitting perfectly in the meloncholic situation Dorothy finds herself in.
The acting is also very well done as it was very well cast and met with a terrific script. I have seen this several times throughout my life and love it more and more every time.
