Review of Return to House on Haunted Hill (2007) by Toby E — 08 Feb 2008

Though the 1999 version of house on haunted hill was not universally liked, I thought it was a really enjoyable studio horror film. when I first heard warner was doing a direct-to-dvd range and the sequel was apart of that, I thought the worst.

well, it wasn't quite the "shit-fest" I was expecting but still not a particularry good film. poor plot & performances were expected and it doesn't let down on that, but it does have a couple of plus sides.

there are some gory scenes & cool looking death sequences for the "gorno" fans and jeffrey combs is fun to watch as the mad surgeon, given a slightly bigger role this time.
