Review of Return to House on Haunted Hill (2007) by Sacha T — 04 Mar 2008

You know going in, that this isn't going to be good...but you still wanna be entertained....and I wasn't....

1. The story is horrible: and in the universe of the characters, it makes no sense whatsoever.

Sub-plots that are introduced go no where.

2. The characters are stupid, instead of dealing with rationality, they do the most frustrating things. Sure, argue it's fear. Argue they're scared. in the end, they're an uninteresting effort, purely to exist just for a gory death.

Thirdly- The gore is alright, it's everywhere and slightly inventive but just alright. The color of the blood is too light...it had to be darker.

4- The direction is boring, cliched and simply lazy. it offers no thrills, no horror, no scares, nothing.

5. The acting is way ott...the villains try to be smug...they just come off stupid...a girl tries to be sexy....yeah well, she's a scank...that's why she's there: for her boobs.

I couldn't just sit back and laugh at the gore and enjoy it.

It is bad, dumb movie...it's not even so-good-it's bad.

It's just bad.

Plus there's a huge plot hole that takes away any remaining credibility.
