Review of Return of the Living Dead Part II (1988) by Blake H — 05 Mar 2008
This movie is a pale comparison to its predecessor. The gore is less, the make up and special effects aren't as good, the acting and dialog is actually worse which is hard to believe, and the story is just lame.
When the lead in the movie is a 8 year old kid, you know you are in trouble. As for plot, a group of kids open up a mysterious military barrel that contains a tar covered zombie and a weird green gas that leaks out and brings the dead back to life.
Then a small group of people try to survive. The plot is thin, but that isn't the problem. The real problem is, other then a few gore scenes and a tribute to Thriller this movie isn't worth your time.
Watch the first movie a second time and forget about this bad bad sequel.
