Review of Return of the Living Dead Part II (1988) by Jim A — 02 Nov 2008
While nowhere near as classic as the previous installment, this still maanges to capture a creepy feeling that few films do today. The humor is taken up a few notches, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but not too great either, considering it falls flat in many places.
The return of the two leads from the first film make for some nice chuckles. And the music makes the movie more enjoyable. BTW, what the FUCK is with the DVD! I rate the DVD one star, because not only has the entire musical score been changed from the nice 80's-esque reprisal of the ROTLD theme to some generic jingle, but all of the 80's rock music that mde the movie has been just added in rather than edited to the scene.
Bad decision on Warner Bros. Part.
