Review of Return of the Living Dead Part II (1988) by Paul C — 03 Aug 2011
I had the same reaction to this film like I did the first one. It has a pretty bad story line, but with the added comedy with a touch a slapstick, you really enjoy watching it. There are many forms of entertainment in the film.
One they had poppy 80s music which is funny for a zombie film. Then speaking of the zombies, the make up was really good. Plus they managed to give some of the zombies personalities in certain scenes.
Then there is this great scene with James Karen and Thom Mathews. Thom Mathews says the line, "I feel like I have been through this before". This is because him and James Karen were also in the first movie and had the same fate of getting turned into zombies.
That was a little extra that made the movie enjoyable. The rest of the cast was ok. Philip Bruns was really annoying and I could not stand his character. So not the best, but just a fun zombie movie to watch.
