The Return of the Living Dead, the Love Story. Not as zombie epic in terms of quantity of zombies, but believe it or not, it has more emotion; cheesy, bad-acting emotion, but those count too. I like the silver dollar scene toward the end.
It definitely has the RotLD feel.
