Review of Return of the Living Dead III (1993) by Lee B — 07 Nov 2011
This movie is a very interesting twist to what the first 2 really drove home. It's a little sticky to get through at first, and a little ridiculous at the end, but when you think about the core two characters, this movie isn't bad. But with so many plainly absurd elements, it ain't great either.
There is some interesting gore to it. A little creative, even with bad continuity. There are also some interesting elements that it takes the storyline and those two main characters are not bad actors. Maybe if this was a standalone movie and didn't have to reuse some elements people expect from this series, it would have been better. But for all it carried over, it didn't keep the comedy elements. This is probably why the silly scenarios seem so comical, because you expect a little comedy. Where's the Michael Jackson zombie from Part 2?
