Review of Return of the Jedi (1983) by Cooperreviews44 — 03 Dec 2018
The last film in the Star Wars trilogy is a true popcorn film. The universe and characters are as great as always, the locations and places are entertaining, and the film moves fast and is incredibly fun.
They take some of the characters in wildly new and entertaining directions but sometimes the writing and dialogue feel inconsistent at times. Some re-used plot devices such as the new Death Star feel lazy, and some moments are ridiculously stupid, but overall the film is fun enough to forget most of it and offers much entertainment and joy while giving closure and satisfaction with then ending.
