Review of Return of the Jedi (1983) by Ken S — 21 Dec 2015
"Return of the Jedi" nicely wraps up the storyline started with the now titled "A New Hope". No matter what anyone says, I love the Ewoks. Of all the original trilogy, "Return of the Jedi" was screwed up the most by the so called "special editions".
So much is changed and screwed up that it becomes an unwatchable mess, a mess it never was upon its initial release. The original version is rather strong, and it ends on a high note, with the Empire defeated and the good guys winning once and for all.
I loved this one the most as a kid, and while I can see it's flaws now, it is hard to beat nostalgia.
