Review of Return of the Jedi (1983) by Daniel Y — 13 Jun 2016

Though Return of the Jedi isn't as great as it's predecessors, it's still a very entertaining and good film that successfully brings the original trilogy to a close. The only problems that are with the film is some of the green screen effects are dated, Boba Fett dies just like any old pawn would, when he clearly isn't, and, of course, the Ewoks.

Now I did love the Ewoks as a kid and I totally get it if you love them, but I can't help but notice that they're there strickly for merchandising purposes but, unlike the prequels, that's the only thing that I've noticed in this movie that was there only to sell toys.
