This is where the Star Wars saga started to faulter, not with The Phantom Menace. The Ewoks were the precursor to Jar Jar Binks. Trying to finish all the story arcs set up in the last two movies made the story seem rushed.
The implausibility of the rebellion defeating the empire within a year of being totally crushed was too unrealistic. Still there are some great action sequences and the scene at the end with Luke, Vader and the Emperor was great.
The space Battle against the Imperial fleet and the second Death Star is the best of the series.
