Samuel L. Jackson gave a great performance in this movie, but it was the direction and Hartnett's acting that brought it down. Hartnett played a terrible and rather naive reporter, and the director did nothing to help this.
But it does have some half-way interesting things to say about father-son relationships thats mildly worth seeing.
