Baring almost no resemblance to the real story, this based on a true story film knows all the clichés of the genre and hits them all as a struggling wrier exploits a homeless bum who claims to be a long forgotten contender.
Jackson?s good, but Hartnett and everyone else give weak performances from a weak script.
