Review of Resurrecting the Champ (2007) by Charles T — 14 Jun 2008
It's starts off as a seemingly cliche return to fame movie, but turns into a solid movie about fathers. And about what it means to try and be a father. Structurally, this movie's set up to it's main theme is unavoidably long.
But solid acting. The beginning of the film had some... pretty poorly written dialogue but the later half is quit solid. I'm a little on the fence about Samuel's physicality and voice, but hey, it's based off of a real person, so maybe it's just mimicing.
