Review of Restrepo (2010) by Benjamin D — 02 Dec 2010
Truly shows just how pointless the Afghanistan war is. The film is set over a year as it follows an American platoon in "the deadliest valley" of Afghanistan. The valley is a nothing place, only notable because there's a Taliban presence there.
Although the Taliban are never seen as it's a war fought from afar. Yet it is still a war, just one where it seems nothing more is accomplished than mentally scarring the American soldiers involved.
