Dr. Johnson said, âEvery man thinks meanly of himself for not having been a soldierâ?. Watching this documentary is likely to make you share that view (regardless of your position on the war in Afghanistan).
This dispassionate dispatch takes a deliberately narrow view of the conflict by focusing only on the year- long deployment of one individual platoon. What it lacks in story, it makes up for in the quality of the photography and the quiet testament to the courage of those under fire and their feelings of loss for their fallen comrades.
