This is an excellent war documentary that follows an American platoon during their 15-month deployment in Afghanistan's Korengal Valley. What allows it to rise above other documentaries is the very personal insight it gets from the men it follows.
In addition, the filmmakers present some footage that is about as close as you can get to war-fighting without actually pulling a trigger.
