Review of Restrepo (2010) by Todd B — 29 Jul 2012
'Restrepo' clears the path of political of media interpretations of the Afghan war and lets the viewer make their own reactions to the conflict. Although the lack of narrative structure may turn some viewers off, the soldiers' intense and visceral encounters with their enemies are some of the most dramatic scenes I've seen in a documentary.
