Review of Restrepo (2010) by Chris H — 06 Mar 2011
I was amazed at the type of shots the cameramen got, they must have been really good to know exactly how to shoot something on the fly, without being able to plan or know what's going to happen. You see a lot of live fire, there's some blood and it's all the more gripping because you know it's real and that someone actually bled it.
The stories and narrative told by the soldiers is harsh and emotional and brutal. Definitely not a romanticized vision of soldiery.
