Review of Restless Natives (1985) by Neil P — 14 Jul 2007
Ronnie & Will decide that working in a joke shop and sweeping the pavement is not the life for them. Their attempts at becoming the least threatening highwaymen Edinburgh & the Highlands have ever seen is as heartwaming and funny film as I've ever seen.
This put Edinburgh on the movie map 10 years before Trainspotting with a tale of friendship and aspirations for a better life. The soundtrack is a perfect mix of Big Country's atmospheric slower tunes and their better known punky "Jock Rock".
Lovely film.
