Review of Rest Stop (2006) by Michael M — 30 Sep 2008
One word: What? Obviously we didn't get kicked off with a bang this year, as this movie definitely did not deliver. The scariest parts of the movie were the poorly written screenplay and the even worse acting.
I found out later that this was a direct to DVD movie, and with that said the production value was actually pretty good. Too bad they didn't put any effort into the story. The first half hour was alright as they set up the premise, but then after that I think they lost the will to make it sensible.
But they out did themselves when they randomly inserted supernatural events that were never explained, even by the end of the film, which by the way was the worst part of the whole experience. Oh well.
Part of why I do this is to watch the bad ones as well as the good ones, but this one wasn't even worth laughing at.
