Review of Rest Stop (2006) by Hellgirl X — 11 Oct 2008
Well, well, well. I've seen potential screw ups before, but this has got to be the worst of them yet. Anytime that the acting is SO bad that it makes you consider turning it off early, well then you know you effed up.
John Shiban really out did himself this time. I absolutely love the whole idea, being stuck at a rest stop is a classic horror myth, told in many different ways.. all of which seem just as frightening.
Liked the whole scenario that it had going, up until they tied in weird supernatural encounters? Could of done without, should have done with out. Alexander's acting was the epitome of terrible, kinda felt like she was just trying WAY too hard to come across as terrified.
Hopefully, when you're reading this you haven't made the mistake of seeing this movie and I can act as a fair warning.
