Review of Respiro (2002) by Bobby B — 07 Apr 2008
An effective, vastly interesting take on family as a whole, in particular: adolescent anxieties, the oedipus complex, male negligence and how dysfunctional families really can be. I was impressed to see all the similarities between Southern Italian and American households, and a little disturbed too.
Beautiful scenery, fine acting, and a haunting yet catchy score. An excellent little film.
