I expected more from this movie. Jennifer's and Marlon's performances felt forced. They didn't embody their roles and become their characters. My favorite part of was Jennifer's singing in church her voice sounded great just wish her and Marlon's acting was up to par.

Because that would have made the movie better. I think the Genius series about Aretha did better job at telling her story in a more honest and compelling way it's just a shame Aretha's family wasn't apart of the series.

I wish this movie was better especially since Aretha handpicked Jennifer to play her in her bio pic.
