Review of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) by Mac P — 27 Jan 2017
Remember the end of the last one? With the zombies and dragons surrounding Washington, D.C.? Well this movie disappointingly skips that would-be amazing battle and starts in the ashes of D.C., on a lone Alice.
First half was boooooooring. Second half was decent. It was great to see Dr. Isaacs play a large part of the film, but Wesker was again just teased for a total of maybe 2 minutes. They built up Wesker for 5 films, teasing glimpses of him here and there, a little more each time, then in this 6th film.
... he's downplayed, underutilized, and inferior. Overall, the movie is a bitter disappointment and a very anticlimactic end to the franchise.
