Resident Evil is a lot like a high budget 'made for SyFy' movie! I mean they aren't really very good but you can't help but watch! Frankly since the second film they have been extremely average movies that contain some interesting moments and good action sequences, but the stories are all-ways too similar and formulaic.
.. I'm not one for reboots normally, but maybe Resident Evil needs one!
