Consider this a best of in the RE series: you get to see all the heros, all the zombies and monsters from all the previous films mashed together in an almost continuous action-fest of combat scenes and visual effects.
Unfortunately this doesn't mean it's the best RE film, but it's not the worst either. Paul W.S. certainly did a good job of getting as much bang for their 65 million bucks. They do try to explain the ludicrous backstory but it gets lost in all the gunfights and explosions and most people won't care anyway.
A good 96 mins of braindead entertainment.
