'Straight-to-DVD animated video-game adaptation' doesn't exactly summon an image of good filmmaking, but they did an OK job here. The script could've done with a tune-up to work out those corny bits, but it's a hell of a lot truer to the Resident Evil spirit than any of the Hollywood adaptations.
