Review of Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) by Justin S — 01 Jul 2009
The plot is good and the voice work is excellent, but the bad CGI jolts you of the action. Eight years ago, when Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within came out, you couldn't tell they were computer animated characters until they started moving around, and especially walking. In this movie, the characters look bad(like the Japanese idea of what American anime characters would look like), and they move worse. Facial expressions are virtually non-existence, too. Particle physics is really excellent, though, especially the fire. If only they could render realistic human characters.
And as a side bonus, all I could think of was, Wow! For Japanese anmation, the female-form constructs weren't too top-heavy, but smoking-hot nonetheless.
