Review of Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) by Johan B — 16 Jan 2009
Fairly decent CGI movie. Zombies and other creatures infected by the T- and G- viruses make a comeback after Leon's escapade in Europe (in RE4). It's good to see Claire and Leon back together to kick some zombie ass.
However, while I think the CGI animation is top-notch, I feel the producers could've done more to... make sure the characters look like they're actually speaking the words that were seemingly spoken by them? More work could've been done on the script and story (on top of the usual zombie shootout, search-and-rescue mission, run-like-hell-to-safety bits).
Following tradition from the games series, there's also a final boss "stage". Nevertheless, I think it fits nicely in between RE4 and RE5 (due release soon?) as a side story.
