Review of Resident Evil: Damnation (2012) by Rory K — 22 Oct 2012
Leon returns for another B.O.W. Bout, following up from 2009's 'Degeneration'.
Damnation takes place in 2011 in the fictional Eastern Slav Republic in Eastern Europe. Right from the get go, we have yet another beautifully crafted introduction sequence before we're dropped into a war torn city. Tanks, explosions and gunfire galore. Not long after arriving, Leon is called out after the government change plans. Leon, being the good American he is.... disobeys the orders and carry's on due to the use of B.O.W's (Bio Organic Weapons). It's not long again, and he's against some of the slippery buggers and finds himself held prisoner by the 'terrorists'. Stuff goes awry and Leon, JD (The "I hate America but their stuff is awesome" kind of guy) and 'Buddy' (The leader) have to band together to survive. From then on the plot is filled with twists and turns, shocks and emotion. Every moment looks and sounds beautiful leading to one of the most amazing R-Rated CGI movies you will ever see. The movie is a must see.
If you're unfamilliar with Resident Evil's story, you need only play RE4 to understand this one, as that gives you all you need to know.
