Review of Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) by Tom R — 13 Sep 2010
This is a bad movie, but it's somehow enjoyable. They abandoned everything that made the first one good (being kind of scary and camera angles from the games), but it's ridiculous enough for an hour and a half of mindless entertainment.
Jill and the Nemesis look like their video game counterparts and there's a character named L.J. who is the comic relief... I actually thought he was funny (particularly his opening line, when he shouts "GTA MOTHAF***A!" and hits a zombie with his car).
I'm not going to argue that this movie isn't stupid, but I actually thought the first ten or twenty minutes were very good.
