Review of Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) by Tibor B — 15 Sep 2010
This film ramps up the action by putting in an entire city rather than an underground facility. Enter nemesis which is an awesome bad dude to the max. of course the standard zombies and zombie dogs are back to eat their way into your heart as are those weird mutant creatures that like to walk on ceilings and walls.
My biggest problems come from the less than perfect CGI, the introduction of silly "special abilities" come the end of the film and the fact that the great character that Jared Harris plays, isn't used nearly enough.
Short of that, the film is only slightly less entertaining than the first but throw in some Milla nudity at the end and I give it an added star just because I can.
PS Being from Toronto where it was filmed, it was nice to see city hall get blown up :).
