Resident Evil: Apocalypse ends up abandoning all pretense of horror in the second installment of the series. Apart from a couple jump scenes, the majority of the film fits far better into the action genre.
It is action packed fun, and for the most part, it doesn't get boring. I have a feeling the change in style isn't welcome by fans of the games. Regardless, it still manages to be an enjoyable film, and definitely worth a watch if you want to see the continuation of the story.
