Review of Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) by Darren T — 09 Jan 2011
After a nice recap, this one enteres with this cop-chick storming and firing ino the police office! This is just one of many attempts to expand the story, which is innevitetbly a zombie massacre. The comparison with Alice is nice, so are the escapades of the other groups like the soldiers or even the fact that the scientists daughter needs to find.
So, pretty good plot but the representation of it is laim and corny. The over-the-top action suits this, and it's become a label but it still could be better. The nemesis story and her re-enliving and all are actually great, it's just poored into this trilogy badly.
I found the zombies themselves were covered up by fast camera movement and other gimicks but on the other hands the dogs were great, nemesis and other monsters two, including already-dead-zombies. Mila is still great, I love her inhumane style and the wicked smile and ofcourse the giganticly massive fights, brought to us in a very 'action' way! The movie ends on a massive open ending again, which sets you for the final chapter.
Curoius how that will be!
