Apocalypse continues where its predecessor left off: Umbrella Corporation sends scientists into their underground facility at Raccoon City to see if the T-Virus is contained, only to release it upon themselves and the populace. Now Umbrella must scramble to cover up their hand in the outbreak and Alice must make her way out of the city with her life.

A good but predictable follow-up to the sequel which had a little bit of a indie feel. This sequel was a little more Hollywood, allowing the audience to laugh in between moments of carnage and corporate evildoing. It was interesting seeing some of the characters from the game (Carlos Olivera, Jill Valentine and NIkolai) because they are portrayed very differently. Adding Mike Epps to the cast to lighten the mood was a smart move and he accomplished his task.

My critique is the same though: making the sequel more Hollywood. Various action scenes became corny due to obligatory rock music playing in the background and some instances were unbelievable (yes its a movie about zombies, but is it too much to ask for a little more realism?). And as much as I love Milla Jovovich, I have to criticize her. When she explains that she is a former Umbrella employee, talking about bio-weapons, it sounded like a model reading from a script instead of someone who actually knew what they were talking about. No matter. I love the series because of the games and for some reason I just can't stay away.
