Review of Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) by Jc E — 11 Jan 2013
Whatever mojo this series gained with the first outing, it lost with this feature. Not only do half the action sequences feature pretty lackluster CG, the climax is all but devoid of effort. The idea that bigger is always better didn't apply to this flick.
Sure, having the T-virus go city-wide was a good idea, but having the plot revolve around a rescue mission was about as predictable as they come. Oh, and even with a new cast (besides the returning Milla Jovovich), there was no new blood, so to speak, injected into this sequel.
Look, it's not unwatchable, but it certainly isn't the best of the series.
