Review of Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) by Jerome Y — 02 Oct 2011
This movie was good only if you played the games, or maybe if you really like to watch a ton of things die. If you walk in looking for originality, you'll miss out. If you came to laugh at a lot of older resident evil references, you're in luck.
One thing I personally kept wondering throughout the movie is who is the good guy here? Only near the end do you see yeah, that guys a bigger jerk than the mass-cloned psychic t-virus enhanced being that rips an entire facility of humans to shreds in the first ten minutes.
Living, breathing humans, who doubtless survived the zombie apocalypse the only way they knew how, which was to join up with the guys who have all the guns. It kind of throws you into doubt about which side's the best chance for the human race.
